Terms of Service | DB Platform

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Dataryn.com and the database management platform operated by DB Platform ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. About the Service

Dataryn.com provides an online platform that allows users to create, manage, import, export, and delete databases and related data ("Service"). The Service includes creating and managing databases and tables, importing and exporting data (SQL, CSV, Excel, SQLite), backup and restore, REST API access, webhooks, and a free data format converter. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

2. Eligibility

You must:

Be legally capable of entering into a binding contract
Use the Service in compliance with applicable laws and regulations

The Service is not intended for use by children.

3. Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Keep your login credentials secure
Be responsible for all activity under your account

We are not responsible for unauthorised access caused by your failure to secure your credentials.

4. User Data & Databases

4.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data and databases you create or upload to the Service. We do not claim ownership over your content.

4.2 Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for:

The data you upload, store, or process
Ensuring your data complies with applicable laws (including data protection laws)
Creating and maintaining backups of your data (e.g. using the Backup or Export features)

4.3 Deletion & Data Loss

Deleting a database is permanent and irreversible
Once deleted, data cannot be recovered unless you have created your own backup
We are not responsible for data loss resulting from user actions, including deletion

5. Prohibited Use

You must not use the Service to:

Upload or process unlawful, harmful, or malicious content
Attempt unauthorised access to systems or data
Distribute malware or abuse the platform
Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service
Circumvent security or rate-limiting mechanisms

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Payments & Subscriptions

Some features require a paid subscription.

Payments are processed by Stripe
We do not store full payment card details
Subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by law
We may change pricing or plans with reasonable notice

Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access.

7. Marketing & Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive essential service communications (e.g. security alerts, password resets). Marketing emails (newsletters, promotions) may be sent. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us at contact@dataryn.com.

8. Availability & Changes

We may:

Modify, update, or discontinue parts of the Service
Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect availability

We are not liable for interruptions or changes to the Service.

9. Intellectual Property

All platform software, interfaces, branding, and documentation are the property of DB Platform or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without written permission.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services (e.g. payment processors, analytics). We are not responsible for third-party services or their content.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

You violate these Terms
You fail to pay required fees
Required by law or security concerns

You may terminate your account at any time by stopping use of the Service. Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred before termination.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or reliability of data, or availability or error-free operation. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DB Platform shall not be liable for loss of data, loss of profits or business, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DB Platform from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the Service, your data or content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable laws.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
